Rayanne Darensbourg has recently become an ERI associate. Rayanne has extensive credentials in education, public administration and legislative studies. She has degrees from the University of New Orleans where she received the UNO Outstanding Leadership and Service award, and Old Dominion University in Virginia and is currently completing a certificate program from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. She has many years of public service, including an internship at city of Newport News, Virginia’s Office of Youth Development and an administrator of a federal housing and support services with a grant portfolio budget of $100 million. More recently she served as an administrator for Children and Youth services at the federal DHH level and as Executive Director of the Children’s Cabinet for the Governor of Louisiana. Since moving to Houston, Texas, Rayanne has been a consultant of the city’s Health and Human Services Department, focused on facilitating an “Aging Agenda for the city”. She is the ERI Services coordinator of an industry funded endowment for the community of Port Arthur, TX. She is active in the national Forum for Black Public Administrators.
